Did You Know That D.C. Has Increased Its Hourly Wages?  

Effective January 1, 2025, the living wage rate for the District of Columbia is now $17.50 per hour, and effective June 30, 2025, both the living wage and minimum wage will increase to $18 per hour, Pursuant to D.C. Code § 2-220.

In accordance with the District of Columbia Living Wage Act of 2006, individuals who receive D.C. government awarded contracts or assistance in excess of certain minimum limits ($100,000 for recipients and $50,000 for subcontractors of the recipients) shall pay all subcontractors and affiliated employees under those D.C. government awarded contracts or assistance programs no less than the current living wage.
