Ms. Cappello provides counsel to a wide range of clients.
She works with young professionals and families who seek estate planning to high-net-worth individuals with complex estate planning needs. Ms. Cappello works closely with our clients to develop comfortable estate plans, which minimize estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes. She also guides clients through difficult times when serving as the personal representative/executor of a family member’s estate or a trustee of a trust.
Ms. Cappello also assists with real estate and business matters. Prior to obtaining her law degree, she worked as a title abstractor, so she also brings valuable background knowledge and expertise on title issues to clients who are purchasing, selling, leasing, financing or developing real estate. Ms. Cappello has extensive experience in various facets of real estate ownership, including negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, management agreements and easements. Ms. Cappello has assisted in the creation of many condominiums in the District of Columbia, including both conversion and new construction condominiums.
Ms. Cappello graduated magna cum laude from the American University Washington College of Law and served as a Staff Member on the Administrative Law Review. An Ohio native, she graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, for which she now serves as President of the Washington, DC Alumni Chapter.
Ms. Cappello is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
